You could not make this story up . We were on our way to Select to pick up our new motorhome. They had offered a fair part exchange for our caravan. Just outside of Yeovil my cars Turbo blew . Contacted Select who advised us to use our recovery to get to them and they would look after us . They absolutely did . Their mechanics are sorting my car . We came home in our lovely new motorhome. Simon ,Nick and everyone made the day less stressful even staying late to make sure we could have a proper handover had everything we needed and even provided coffee for me and wine for my wife .

I have been wanting a particular motorhome for some time and 6 weeks ago I spotted one for sale at Select Motors, Devon. I made some initial enquiries and spoke with the Sales manager Dan.

From start to finish communication with Dan has been second to none. Any queries I had were quickly answered and any concerns were resolved expeditiously.
When I agreed to a sale, we drew up some extras that were included in the deal and a short snagging list.

A couple of weeks later and I collected my new motorhome. All the snags had been done as promised, the extras done and it was polished and valeted to perfection. I am absolutely delighted with it.

I can not fault the service from Select Motorhomes. Nothing was too much trouble and throughout I have been treated as a valued customer, even my dog Ted was given VIP treatment.

My wife and I visited this motorhome seller which is adjacent to the Newton Abbott Trago Mills shopping centre. We were there to view two particular motorhomes that they had advertised for sale.
On arrival we were soon approached by Barrie, the Sales Manager.
Whilst I am usually disappointed at the lack of knowledge of the products sales staff have of the products they are selling, this was not the case with Barrie. He was very knowledgeable and polite without being slippery or pushy and he gave us all of the time we needed. On our return I made a follow up request for information and that information was provided in full and very promptly. He is a credit and also an asset to the company. Thank you for your time.

We took our camper van to Select Motor Homes to sell for us and we were delighted with the result. Yvonne and I wanted to thank all the team at Select, especially Simon, Natalie and Christine for the way in which we were taken care of through the whole process.
We are delighted with our new motorhome and even though we had a couple of small issues, partly down to us not reading the manual! they resolved them quickly and efficiently.

Been looking for a specific layout campervan. Went to Select, and to my surprise I knew the owner, Simon from some years previous as he used to sell me vans for my company. Anyway they had just the layout and age of campervan I was looking for. I agreed a price with Barry, Sales manager and a few items I wanted doing and all went smoothly. Later, a problem occurred with the fridge. these things happen, but no drama with Select. Took it to my local agent who put it right as the trip back to Select was difficult. Select paid the bill direct, not through my warranty they gave, immediately! In essence the service and after sales was exemplary. I would highly recommend Select Motorhomes for your next purchase.

We had a leaky skylight during the recent rain storms whilst staying in Totnes, and we were taking on water! Select were the only place that would take our motorhome at short notice as an emergency. Within a few days, our van was dried, fixed, serviced and back on the road.

I can’t praise the team there highly enough. Everyone was so helpful. The level of service was fantastic. They are not the closest place to us, but they are getting all our business (servicing, MOT, etc ) from now on.

My wife and I recently bought a used Autotrail Tribute from Solent Motorhomes. When we first viewed the motorhome , it was obvious that it had been well looked after by its previous owner and was very clean and well presented. We never felt any pressure into buying the van.We agreed to purchase the vehicle and duly paid the deposit. We were then told that it would be valeted ready for our collection the following week. When we arrived to collect the van after paying the balance as agreed, the van was in an immaculate condition. To say we were sceptical about being approached by Si Jones would be an understatement. I mean, who in their right mind would let their beloved, expensive motorhome leave their property with a promise of an agreed price being paid to us when they sell it? Too good to be true was our first thought and we subsequently accused Si of being a scammer.

The next 2 weeks were spent ‘researching’ Si. Our friends and family all had the same initial thought as us – if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is and we should just cut our losses and sell to a dealer for a considerably lower price than was being offered.

Si had glowing reviews but still we had our doubts as scammers can write false reviews, right? We even had friends doing their own ‘Googling’ in the hope they would find some dirt which confirmed all our suspicions that we shouldn’t touch him with a barge pole but they didn’t find any. One friend said ‘I think he’s a genuine bloke just trying to build his new business’ but the general consensus was ‘undecided’. ‘It’s your decision at the end of the day’ they said ‘but it’s a lot of money to lose if it’s a scam’.

2 days later we had the first phone call from our Auto-Trader ad from a man who wanted to come and view our motorhome. “Hoorah” we thought and prayed for a private sale to save anymore anguish about running the risk of losing our precious motorhome to a scammer in Devon, aka Si Jones.

The next day, which happened to be the hottest day of the year, I spent 7 hours getting ready for the imminent viewing with hoover in one hand and pressure washer in the other. We had agreed for him to call me at 4pm to confirm the time he would be over. 4pm came and went. 5pm came and went, no phone call. 6pm came and went then 7pm. I said to my husband ‘if he doesn’t ring by 8pm then I’m contacting Si.

At 8.04pm a decision was made, a message sent and a 25 minute video call ensued. It was reassuring to see Si wearing a top with the logo ‘Select Motorhomes’ visible and this was topped with a cigarette behind his ear and a can of Stella in his hand. Just a normal bloke we thought, winding down after a busy day at work. We instantly liked him.

A text from Si was received the next day asking for our address as he was arranging collection of our motorhome and 3 days later, we were waving goodbye to it.

So then we waited. Longing to receive the communication that our motorhome had sold. As the days passing turned into 1 week, then 2, then 3 without hearing anything , we started doubting Select Motorhomes ability to sell our motorhome. ‘Who wants to buy one at this time of year we said?!’ so we resigned ourselves to the probability that it will be next year now until it sells.

On 2nd October, we received a message from Si saying that someone was interested in our motorhome. ‘Finally!’ we said and waited eagerly for another response but alas, no call was received. Later that evening we saw a photo on the Select Motorhomes Facebook page of a very happy couple standing next to their new motorhome, but sadly it wasn’t ours.

Exactly 2 weeks on, I woke up having had a vivid dream about our motorhome. I instantly messaged Si and asked for feedback as to why it hadn’t sold yet. He instantly replied with ‘it has!’. A quick search on their website and lo and behold, we saw our advert with the words SOLD next to it and a second look a few minutes later and the ad was gone.

The following day, Nick the Sales Manager called me to confirm a deposit had been taken and our motorhome should be leaving with its new owner in a weeks time. Finally, we could allow ourselves to become happy and relieved that it had sold but until the money was in, there was still some trepidation.

True to his word, Nick called me 6 days later and the transaction was complete. The agreed price that Si Jones had promised us 7 weeks before, was in our bank account. Success!

To anyone who is still wondering whether or not to allow Select Motorhomes to sell their pride and joy, we say ‘go for it’. We are so glad we did.

Select Motorhomes are head and shoulders above the rest. Of all the companies we went and met, Select Motorhomes service was perfection. From first viewing, to purchase and even when on the road, they provide the highest level of service you can imagine. A brilliant team, I would never buy anywhere else.

Well what can I say, we had our motorhome advertised privately, Couple of stupid enquiries asking if we would take their car in P/Ex! Then we had a call from Simon. He offered to sell our motorhome for us, he would put it on his premises, which is a prime location on a private road to a large shopping centre in Devon. They had only been open 2 days so we were a little hesitant, but thought what have we got to lose. We want to sell it, Simon thought he could get us a good price, and with his commission they would put a warranty on it for the potential buyer, and they could arrange finance. Seemed to us to be a win win situation. It took Simon a week to sell our Motorhome. As soon as they had payment a bank transfer was done to us for the full agreed price. We cannot thank Simon, Rob and Natalie for their friendly, professional and knowledgeable approach to this new venture, we think that they sold 6 Motorhomes in their first week of trading! We are so pleased Simon made that call to us, we cannot thank them enough for taking the stress away from us, they kept us informed through the whole process.
